New world record prices were set at the auction house’s last sale of the year, which took place between 14 November and 16 November.

The campaign, created by the newly formed UNHATE Foundation supported by the Benetton group, shows political and religious leaders sharing a kiss to promote the understanding between peoples, faiths and cultures.

Shelling out £20 million (€23.4 million) for a two-bedroom house in the heart of London may be over the top for some, but for the founder of luxury goods group PPR, Francois Pinault, it was just another investment.

The French billionaire, whose family-controlled PPR owns brands such as Gucci and Stella McCartney, has paid around €23 million for a house in the upmarket neighbourhood of Chelsea.

The Massachusetts-based company, which publishes real estate periodicals and custom magazines, was given the Comcast Spotlight Hall of Fame Award for 2011 to recognise its long-term role in promoting family businesses.

Buffalo Trace Distillery produces the Van Winkle bourbon whiskey portfolio, comprising four bourbons, each aged between 10 and 23 years, and they will hit selected retail stores by the end of November.
